About

Andy Davis, Auto Technician

I started my career in the armed forces gaining various qualifications but specialising in military transport. After nine years I gained the qualification of a Driving and Maintenance Instructor and also passed my Advanced Driving, and gained my PCV and HGV class one licences. I left the military and became an HGV mechanic at Lex Commercials where I gained other qualifications, including Layland DAF auto electrician.

After several years I moved closer to home and became an engineer at Sealine boat builders, where I enjoyed fixing engines, wiring looms, and air conditioning into the various boats that Sealine built.

After several busy years working at Sealine, I moved into the self-employed world, having my own business and dealing with the public direct. This gave me great experience on the needs of the customer. Being mobile, I dealt with numerous servicing and maintenance contracts.

Through the years I have gained extensive knowledge of mechanical and electric systems. This has given me the knowledge to diagnose and repair modern day vehicles and the chance to deal with complex diagnostics, including ECU repairs.

I am also an Associate Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry.
